Solution : 1.Th8! (menace 2.Cg7+ et 3.Th5#) 2…Fxh8 2.g7 Fxg7 3.Cxg7#

Le thème Seeberger. A.Chéron, Hamburgischer Correspondent, 14 sept. 1930 (Dédié à Alain C. White). Mat en 4 coups.

Solution : 1.Tgd8 ! (menace 2.Tc4#) 1…Fxd8 2.Cf8 Te7 3.Ra6 T~~ 4.C#

Solution : 1.Rc7 ! Ra5 2.Ff6 Ra6 3.Fd8 Ra5 4.Rb7#

Le thème indien. Rvd H.-A.Loveday, The Chess Player’s Chronicle, février 1845. « Le problème indien ». Mat en 4 coups.

Solution : 1.Fc1 b4 2. Rb1 b5 3.Td2 Rf4 4.Td4#

Solution : 1.Rg7 ! Rb6 2.Rf6 h4 3.Re5 h3 Rd6 h2 5.c7 nulle

H.Rinck, British Chess Magazine, janv. 1920. Les Blancs jouent et gagnent.

Solution : 1.Cf4+ ! Re4 2.Ce2 ! Rf3 ! 3.Cd4+ Rf4 4.Fc7+ Rg4 5.Cc2 ! Rf3 6.Ce3 !

Wishing You a Merry Christmas.

A.C.White contribuant lui-même à la série avec notamment : "The White Rooks" (1910), "The Theory of Pawn Promotion" (1912), "The Properties of Castling" (1928).

Mat en 2 coups. Bohemian Garnets, M.Havel, 1923.

The Chess Problem, H.Weenink, 1926.

A l’heure actuelle, J.-M.

Les 20 joueurs inclus dans l’étude : Wilhelm Steinitz, Emanuel Lasker, Jose Raul Capablanca, Alexander Alekhine, Max Euwe, Mikhail Botvinnik, Vasily Smyslov, Mikhail Tal, Tigran Petrosian, Boris Spassky, Robert James Fischer, Anatoly Karpov, Gary Kasparov, Alexander Khalifman, Viswanathan Anand, Ruslan Ponomariov, Rustam Kasimdzhanov, Veselin Topalov, Vladimir Kramnik, and Magnus Carlsen.
